I do not think that NASA should send a student into space. These are the reasons why I appose to this idea. I do not think NASA should send a student into space because it is not safe for kids. I don't think its safe because if the shuttle runs out of oxygen, because kids don't have big enough lungs, kids will run out of oxygen before adults. I also think NASA should not send a kid into space because kids are easily distracted. I think kids could be easily distracted in space because of the equipment. They could want to play with it. That is why I think NASA should not send a student into space.
I think that if NASA was to send a student into space, they should be selected from a writing assignment. NASA could say tell my what to do if there was an emergency, or say whats the important things to do if your team mate is struggling on a assignment. Then choose who it is who should go. If there is ever a tie, then NASA should do a drawing. They should put the names in a jar and pull a name. That is what NASA should do if they do chose to send a student to space.
